Upon signing up for your home insurance (Confort, Plus or Standard), OCASO is pleased to offer you a gift that will put you at ease during your first year with OCASO. At your request, OCASO will send a professional to your home to assist you with any of the following non-emergency home maintenance and repair services.
- ELECTRICAL SERVICES:
- Electrical outlet or light switch replacement (including fixtures), and the changing of light bulbs, neon and fluorescent bulbs and starters (without location changes).
- Installation or changing of lamps and/or wall lamps wherever electrical connections are located.
- Creation of new electrical connections, electrical, phone or TV outlets, with surface installation.
- Installation of conduits to hide cables.
- Connection, configuration and activation of home entertainment appliances: DTT, DVD, Blu-Ray, digital cameras, home theatre equipment, digital video, computers, TV and video consoles.
- PLUMBING SERVICES:
- Replacement of faucets or installation of new ones where water hookups exist, as well as the tightening of loose faucets.
- Unplugging small blockages with special liquid products or by use of manual plungers.
- Changing a toilet's flushing mechanism.
- Installation of shower fixtures and connection (without plumbing work).
- Apply silicone sealant on deteriorated grout around the bathtub, shower, washbasin or sink.
- Bleed radiators.
- CARPENTRY SERVICES:
- Assemble flat pack furniture, move bookcases.
- Installation of handles, doorknobs, doorbells and bolts on interior doors.
- Change hinges on kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors, or on any other wooden furniture.
- Placement of wall corner protectors and transition strips between two different types of floors.
- Hang or affix pictures, mirrors or decorative objects to the walls.
- Installation of kitchen and bath accessories.
- Glue together wooden chairs, tables and beds.
- OTHER SERVICES:
- Installation of drapes, net curtains and blinds.
- Window insulation (only includes placement of weatherstripping on the door leaf and frame and affixing it to the glass with silicone if necessary).
- Fix malfunctioning Venetian or roller blinds that don't have mechanized parts.
The HOME MAINTENANCE HELP guarantee includes travel expenses and labour costs (up to 3 hours per visit), which leaves the insured to cover the cost of materials. Up to two visits per year are included with the insurance. Several services can be requested for each visit if they are for the same type of service. The insured must provide all the necessary materials in order for the service to be rendered.

The cost of the materials used to complete the requested service. The cost of labour in excess of the 3 hours covered in the guarantee. Any service different from those specifically stated in the guarantee. Services in houses other than the one insured. Services done by professionals other than those sent by the insurer.
